If you’re looking for a way to stretch your wardrobe without breaking your budget, look no farther. The transformer dress by Von Vonni provides you with 20 ways to wear one dress! Amazing right! They display the options on an easy to follow YouTube video. The most popular dress is their maxi dress which comes in an array of colors and patterns. There is also a cocktail length option and tops. I have the maxi dress in black and a multicolor pattern. I might wear one to an upcoming wedding so stay tuned for the post.

There’s nothing like a bold pair of colorful pumps to spruce up a summer wardrobe and these Isola pumps fit the bill. I love the magenta and orange color combo because it’s not one I see too often. The T-strap also gives the shoe a classy vintage feel. They are comfortable enough for a wedding or dinner party which is exactly what I intend to use these for.

Here’s another trend I’ve been somewhat indecisive about. Body chain necklaces also called cape necklaces. I first really noticed them on the reality character, Toya, from Married to Medicine. Yes. I admit I watched the show. Anyway, in one of her interviews she was wearing a bodycon dress with this chain necklace overlay that covered her entire torso. It was a really interesting and different look. Then I started noticing it more and more on other people. The look is mostly styled with either a form-fitting or strapless top.

Looks kind of cool, right?
I like the more delicate necklaces like these:

This last one is giving me a little too much of a Game of Thrones vibe.
I had been looking forward to the Peachtree Hills Wine & Arts festival because the weather for the past few weeks had been pretty picturesque, but humidity decided to rear it’s ugly head this weekend. As most of you know, humidity equals frizzy hair. Even my keratin treatment is no match for the Georgia heat and humidity so, I decided to let my hair do what it wants to do naturally. I went to Target and purchased some inexpensive curl hair products and let them work their magic.
I figured since I didn’t have to worry about my hair, I didn’t want to worry about my face either so I went out sans makeup.
I opted for a crop top and cutoff shorts for an easy, breezy look.
We had so much fun (despite the heat). The volunteers were pretty heavy-handed so it was more like a wine drinking rather than a tasting
Au naturale!

My sister-in-law is getting married next month in L.A. and of course I’ve been pondering on how I want to look. I often turn to sites like Pinterest and Wanelo for inspiration. I came across this gorgeous dress on Pinterest and clicked on the link for the website and was introduced to the world of Aqua by Aqua!
This is a U.K. brand that boasts ultra cool looks for women and men. Their dresses are feminine, sexy, and edgy all in one. I’m so drawn to their current color palette of black and white with pops of pastels and neons. The very architectural gold accessories just really set off the whole look. Check it out and let me know what you think.
After a wonderful getaway with my husband, I returned to Atlanta for a birthday brunch with some of my favorite gals. We met at H.Harper Station situated just southeast of downtown. I had brunch there several months ago and had been wanting to return for more of their scrumptious food and unique cocktail menu.
The beautiful ladies
My friend Audrey brought these beautiful flowers that worked as a great centerpiece.
My birthday was on Sunday! I really had no idea what my husband was planning for my birthday, if anything, so in true type A fashion I made tentative dinner reservations and a ladies brunch on Sunday. Friday night my husband asks me what I’m doing Saturday. I had nothing planned other than my usual workout so, when I returned home that morning he said “You should get dressed. Oh, and pack whatever you’re going to wear tomorrow”. WHAT?!?! I was so excited. We headed out into Atlanta traffic to an unidentified location.
My husband is the best at keeping secrets so after an hour in the car with still no clue where we were going, I started mapping out possibilities. I know I’m hopelessly type A. After almost two hours we arrived at…..
Callaway Gardens is a beautiful resort just outside of Pine Mountain, GA. It has acres of lush gardens, lakes and a beach. They offer a variety of activities including hiking, water sports, zipline, golf, and spa. We settled in and started exploring the grounds.
We arrived just in time to watch a predatory birds show featuring this owl, a hawk, and a vulture! The birds were literally flying right over our heads. My husband caught a nice breeze as one of them wizzed by his ear.
We made some new friends of nature…
After burning lots of calories hiking the grounds, it was time for a delicious meal.
Red velvet cheesecake with cream cheese icing
We then finished off the evening with some birthday bubbly….
Thanks again to my amazing husband for a wonderful birthday weekend
Stay tuned for the second part of my celebration with the ladies!
