My friends know I am NOT a gamer. I have sent out several blast posts on Facebook to prevent people from inviting me to play games like Candy Crush. I always felt they were a silly waste of time until a friend of mine introduced to me the Covet fashion app. I’m now completely hooked! It really allows every fashion addict to live vicariously through their virtual closet creating looks and buying more covetable clothes! The clothes come from real designers like Rachel Zoe, Rebecca Minkoff, Nanette Lepore, and Halston Heritage. So how does it work? There are several events you can enter to win prizes for your closet and also real prizes. You need tickets to enter the events which you earn by voting on the looks of the other players. The looks with the highest ratings (4 stars or higher) win the prize. The app is really creative with the different scenarios it sets for the players to create a look around. Some of my favorites have been a vixen on a night out and a Venezuelan fling. You are able to choose everything including hair style, skin color, make-up, jewelry….everything! It is absolutely so much fun! Here are some of my favorite and winning looks:
A night at the symphony
Shopping on Rodeo Drive
Elegant dinner party hostess.
The chic detective.
A Venezuelan fling.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
This game will be highly addictive to all fashionistas!
My new shoe heart throb……British fashion shoe designer Tabitha Simmons! Not only is she a fab designer, but is also an editor for Vogue and styles runway shows for Calvin Klein, Zac Posen, and Alexander McQueen. Talk about a multitasker! I really admire her ability to show her creativity and not be too whimsical. Her shoes are eye-catching but not so out there you can’t wear them as an everyday shoe. Here are a few I’m lusting over…..
These shoes have G.N.O. written all over them…
This color is just sick!
I always love a funky wedge.
Playful but I would still totally wear these to the office.
Bam! This is a bootie.

I can’t get enough of these printed pumps.
If her collection is a little too pricey, you’re in luck. She has a more affordable line for J. Crew.

I love when I discover cool green products! You can learn about Oka b recyclable shoes in my post if you missed it. Today I’m featuring an Atlanta-based design company called Deck Specks. I’m all about supporting local designers and I’m glad to share these truly innovative designers with my readers. These one-of-a-kind, handmade sunglasses are made from skateboards! So cool, right? They have such an interesting, unisex vibe to them and have been spotted on celebs like Andre 3000! I’m definitely going to be rockin’ a pair of these. Here are just a few of their funky designer shades.

I can’t decide! They do have more styles arriving so be sure to go to the website deckspecks.com to view more!
I’m thrilled to share with you this amazing new designer I stumbled upon a little while ago. The designer, Sheena Sood, has studied design at Brown University, Central Saint Martins College of London, and RISD. She has also worked for two of my favorite designers Tracy Reese and Zac Posen. Sheena launched her line in 2013 which is influenced by the bold colors of Brazil and the textiles of India to create this amazing funky, urban line.

I’m so in love with all of these looks! I definitely want to make one of those multi-wear dresses mine. Be sure to check out the rest of her looks at abacaxi-nyc.com.
If you don’t know Sophia Webster……then get FAMILIAR!!!! This Brit designer worked as a design assistant to famed shoe designer, Nicholas Kirkwood, before debuting her own collection in S/S 2013. I have fallen head-over-heels for her whimsical, fantasy-like shoes. Take a look at these beautiful specimens and get swept away into the magical world of Sophia Webster.
If you’re looking for a way to stretch your wardrobe without breaking your budget, look no farther. The transformer dress by Von Vonni provides you with 20 ways to wear one dress! Amazing right! They display the options on an easy to follow YouTube video. The most popular dress is their maxi dress which comes in an array of colors and patterns. There is also a cocktail length option and tops. I have the maxi dress in black and a multicolor pattern. I might wear one to an upcoming wedding so stay tuned for the post.

My sister-in-law is getting married next month in L.A. and of course I’ve been pondering on how I want to look. I often turn to sites like Pinterest and Wanelo for inspiration. I came across this gorgeous dress on Pinterest and clicked on the link for the website and was introduced to the world of Aqua by Aqua!
This is a U.K. brand that boasts ultra cool looks for women and men. Their dresses are feminine, sexy, and edgy all in one. I’m so drawn to their current color palette of black and white with pops of pastels and neons. The very architectural gold accessories just really set off the whole look. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Last month I went to my favorite shoe store, Happy Feet Boutique, for a pedicure and a sales representative from a local shoe company was in the store. The company is Oka b shoes and they are based just up the road from Atlanta in Buford, GA. There are several great things about this company. One is that they have created a line of shoes that are irresistibly adorable and fun. There were so many varieties of colors and styles we had so much trouble trying to decide which ones to choose for the store. They are also extremely comfortable due to their ergonomic footbed and patented microplast technology materials that are also anti-microbial! These shoes are machine washable, and get this….they’re also recyclable! Yep! If you no longer want your cute Oka b’s you can take them to your local recycling center or send them back to the company! Beautiful, comfortable, and eco-friendly makes these shoes a win-win in my eyes. Check them out!
Aren’t they just darling???? For more info go to oka-b.com
This past weekend I attended a launch party for a fascinating new company. The company is Naughty Girl Greetings and let me tell you, these cards are NAUGHTY!! I had to buy a few for the hubby (for those special occasions). The company was founded by Regina Byrd just this year and has already become wildly successful with consultants all over the country and over 4000 cards sold. I must say I love the concept of these cards. You have plenty of funny cards but no cards that push the sexual envelope like these do. The launch party was a lively affair with a dj and cocktails at one of my favorite places, Happy Feet Boutique in Brookhaven.
If you’re looking to turn up the heat in the bedroom with your honey, these cards will definitely light a spark! Check out the site for more info: naughtygirlgreetings.com

I was browsing through some of my old photos on Facebook and stumbled upon a picture I had taken in Mykonos, Greece a few years ago. I remembered I was having some hair issues halfway through the trip so I started wearing a silk scarf head wrap I had brought for the first portion of the trip which was in Turkey. I was using the wrap to cover my bare shoulders when we entered the mosques. As I was looking at the photo I thought, “Why don’t I wear this anymore?”. It’s such an ingenuous way to look cool even on a bad hair day which will be greatly appreciated once the humid summer of Atlanta roars it’s ugly head.
Some of my celebrity style icons have been rocking this look for a while and doing it well.

Here is some “Turb-inspiration” on how to style the look
Now, I’ve already got my jumpsuits picked out so I need to find some cute turbans to go with them. Will you be trying this trend this summer?
