My other love besides fashion is fitness. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you I’m a huge fitness enthusiast! I’m constantly seeking new types of exercise to challenge my fitness routine. I have been obsessed with bar fitness for over a year now and I currently attend the local Bar Method studio 4-5 days a week. The burn and shake I feel when my muscles have reached their breaking point is addictive and so are the changes I see in my body! Since I spend a lot of time in work out gear, I do invest my time and money in finding cute, high quality exercise gear. Lululemon has been a favorite of mine for some time now. Their clothes are made from high quality materials that keep their shape, absorb moisture, and keep you looking adorable! I love that fact that I can workout and then meet a friend for lunch all while looking stylish!
Target has had some amazing designers featuring clothing lines for a limited time for affordable prices. Some of their most successful include, Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, Zac Posen, Missoni, and Jason Wu! Well, brace yourself because on February 10th Target will be featuring an exclusive collection by Prabal Gurung! The Singapore-born designer created a bright and bold collection with everything from adorable shirt dresses to fun floral shorts and blazers! Also, don’t even get me started on the shoes and accessories! I want those high-heeled sandals in every color. So, if I were you, I would RUN and not walk to Target on February 10th!
I have a few favorite pieces in my closet that I wear several times a year. My “spider web” sweater is definitely one of those pieces. You can see in the pictures below how the intricate pattern of the sweater resembles a web. I snagged this beauty at Anthropologie over a year ago and it has been a vital item in my wardrobe. I love layering it over different types of tops with either leggings or jeans. What’s one of your favorite closet items?
I was pleasantly surprised to have my Mother visit me this weekend from Pittsburgh! I love having guests in town because it gives me the opportunity to share what I love about Atlanta with my friends and family. So, on Sunday my husband and I brought my Mom to church followed by an amazing brunch at Checquers. Later, we dropped my husband off at home and finished our day with shopping and a movie. I knew I was going to have an eventful day so I decided to wear one of my favorite dresses. My grey bubble dress I purchased from H&M years ago is always a cute and comfy option, and adding a pop of color and some patterned tights brings some fun to the outfit. Now…..what to wear tomorrow for manicures and more shopping
Last weekend I had a great Girls Night Out at a friend’s birthday party. It was at this great place in Atlanta called Sound Table that has great drinks and even better music. They have amazing djs that play that deep, soulful house music that makes you wanna dance all night! We had a blast but my feet were so sore the next day. I would not recommend dancing in 4 inch heels all night, but at least I looked good doing it

Jennifer Lopez always dazzles whether she’s ripping it up on the stage or running errands on the weekends. Jennifer would brighten up anyone’s day in this The Row yellow wool crepe coat, Milly wide-leg trousers, and Charlotte Olympia suede platform pumps. We don’t all have J Lo’s paycheck, but you can still look fabulous with these less expensive options to get the look!
Smoking flats are here to stay and I’m glad for it! I use them in my closet as an alternative to ballet flats to give outfits a more edgy look. There are a variety of smoking flat designs created by many shoe designers but I personally love the embellished ones by Steve Madden. I have the leopard studded pair!
Once I moved to Atlanta, it seemed everyone was asking me if I played tennis. That’s because in Atlanta, just about everyone plays tennis. ALTA (Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association) is the largest adult recreation tennis league in the world!! So, of course I joined a team and have been playing since I moved here. I absolutely love the sport of tennis! When I’m not playing, I’m watching it on t.v. and right now it’s the Australian Open! When watching all of the players on the courts, I can’t help but notice a strong trend this season……yellow! So many of the players seemed to have been drawn to bright yellow outfits, and I must say, it is refreshing to see this vibrant color on the courts. Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic, and Caroline Wozniacki were just a few of the players rocking the trend. I personally give the fashion award to Sharapova, but as for who is going to win the open……I place my bet on Serena!

When having a discussion about fashion icons of our time, Michelle Obama is always in the mix. Her style has been described as classic, elegant, practical, and yet regal. Michelle looked absolutely stunning today in a Thom Browne coat that she wore for her husband’s inauguration. The coat was a custom creation inspired by the design of men’s ties. The beautiful combination of the eye-catching blue and silver pattern of the coat, accented by an embellished sash was wonderfully complemented with a pop of color from the magenta leather gloves. Michelle Obama is truly a fashion icon and I’m certain she will continue to wow us with her style in the upcoming years!
The only thing that might give me more pleasure than shopping is probably traveling. I love being outside of my comfort zone and experiencing the ways of life of different cultures. Also, shopping in foreign lands is pretty fun too! I bought this beautiful coat on a trip to Barcelona and Valencia, Spain. Barcelona was a very colorful city with all of the amazing Gaudi art sprinkled all over the city. I believe I was drawn to this coat due to its variety of colors and textures which reminded me of the beautiful city of Barcelona.
