Ok. This is a trend I wasn’t too sure about at first, but know I’m turning the corner. I think it was the stiletto version of gladiators that threw me off. They seemed a little too brazen or even cartoonish, but the flat versions have a nice bohemian feel. Gladiator sandals are not necessarily a new trend but will definitely be revisited strongly this spring. I think that they would look absolutely adorable with a soft, flowing mini dress like I saw in a Macy’s fashion show last week. So, I was on the fence, but now I think they’re a go. What do you think? Will the inner gladiator in you rise up this spring?
I had the great pleasure of attending the Secret Garden Fashion Show at Macy’s hosted by the fabulous Christopher Macken on Friday. Spring has finally arrived and so have the spring trends! We received a glimpse of what will be hot this season.
Eagerly anticipating the show….
Guests enjoyed light hors d’oeuvres including scrumptious mini strawberry cupcakes, drinks, and music.
I have never been a huge fan of lace but this little swing top number was too cute for words. I love the pop of color from these covetable orange wedges.
Another adorable example of the lace trend and also the bohemian trend with this Free People dress. I love the flat gladiator sandals! A must-have addition to my closet!
I’m a girl that loves a great jumpsuit and will definitely be rocking them this season. This look is ultra chic in black and white. The glamorous hat will have people wondering ‘who’ you are…..
These shoes!!! #stevemadden!!
There will be more mixing prints this spring. I would have never thought to pair floral sandals with a snakeskin print romper but it really works.
Ahhhh….pastels and florals. Nothing else says spring like this lovely combo.
Here I am posing with the wonderful Christopher Macken

Spring has finally sprung! On this first day of spring, it’s time to stash away the burgundy and navy and bring out the pretty pastels for spring nails. I absolutely love the nail lacquers by butter London and they have some gorgeous choices for the spring.
This purple-hued color represents the pantone of the season, radiant orchid. Be sure to grab this on trend color for spring.
I’m a sucker for mint nails. I was hesitant to try it at first but was surprised by how versatile the color actually was. It pairs well with just about any outfit.
This peachy color is so vibrant and flirty! Perfect for a great beach getaway weekend.
Clean white nails are always a great statement. A white manicure is a sophisticated option that looks great with a summer tan or naturally dark complexions.
Be daring and try a super vibrant color like this bright yellow. You’ll be the life of the party with this fun hue.
If you’re a little gun shy about trying very bright colors, a soft pink is classic and always in style.

This pretty pastel blue is a little off the beaten path but still very feminine and light.
You can find all of these colors at ulta and they are having a super sale (2 for $15) on butter London nail lacquers!
Thanks for reading!

Exotic shoes and accessories will be all the rage for the warmer months but wearing this trend can get pretty expensive. Case in point, these beautiful Salvatore Ferragamo Polaris sandals (available here) are super hot! The sexy high heel and gladiator style will pair nicely with a mini dress or leather shorts but at $1690 they will put a pretty big dent in your pocket. The BCBGeneration Manci sandal (available here) clocks in at just $110 and is just as sexy, if not more so. What do you think? Splurge or steal??
I have been busy working on my Pilates certification which means more time in my athletic wear! This week I’m featuring my favorite pair of Beyond Yoga leggings. I was obviously drawn to the bright, electric blue color but also a little intimidated. I decided to try them on out of curiosity and also because I have nothing like these in my closet. I was pleasantly surprise by how they fit. Thanks to the luxe material the leggings have a flattering fit and they are oh, so soft!
The black quilted block cami is another one of my favorites. The texture is interesting and the fit is slimming.
This perfect peace sweater is so versatile. I can easily pair it with skinny jeans and booties and wear it out to dinner.
Check out the sexy peek-a-boo back!

This is my second time featuring this brand on the blog because I am obsessed!!! The London-based brand, aqua by aqua has a new AQ/AQ SS ’14 collection that is to die for! These designers create clothing for the woman every women wants to be. Hot, edgy, flirty, and a little bad ass. I have featured some of my favorite looks. I’m especially enamored with the black jumpsuit, cape dress, and jogger pants. Heck! I want it all!
Enjoy!

Introducing the shoe of the season……slip-on sneakers! This retro comfort shoe is making a comeback in a fierce way. This once kind of dorky shoe has received a fabulous update from designers like Saint Laurent, Sam Edelman and Vans. I love all of the varying textures and prints there are to choose from. I’ve already snagged the floral print slip-ons from the Peter Pilotto for Target collection and can’t wait to sport them this spring. You can pair these with flirty dresses, cute capris, or casual cut-offs. Which ever style you pick, these babies will leave your feet feeling fancy through the spring and summer seasons.
