I just absolutely love award season! It’s a fashion addict’s dream and the Oscars are like our Superbowl! The Oscars 2013 red carpet did not disappoint. There were so many great looks that I’m hard pressed to pick just one favorite. There were also some great trends like the metallics seen on Stacy Keibler and Halle Berry and the white seen on Charlize Theron and Zoe Saldana. The stars really did dazzle so let’s get right to it!
Pop of Color
Regal in Blue
Beautiful Ball Gowns
I really felt that Naomi really rocked that asymmetrical neckline beautifully. It would be hard for most people to pull that off, but she did so in a fabulous way. Halle and Stacy were gorgeous as always. They both have such amazing bodies and they know how to accentuate them with their dress choices. I’m loving Charlize with the pixie haircut. She looked so statuesque in the fitted white gown with minimal jewelry. Zoe, I felt had the most interesting dress on the red carpet. I just could not take my eyes off of it. You would think with the detailing on the bodice plus the belt that the dress would look to busy, but it was actually pretty amazing. The dress had a bonus with a gray and black finish on the train…..genius! I was so proud of Robin Roberts attending the Oscars looking fabulous and strong and little Quvenzhane was absolutely adorable! Jennifer Lawrence looked beautiful in her ball gown, but the diamond chain cascading down her back was the best part of her entire look. Jessica Chastain perfected the old Hollywood glam look. The nude, figure flattering dress with the red lip reminded me of Jessica Rabbit (in a good way). And of course, what a pleasant surprise with Michelle Obama presenting the best picture award smoldering with her hot bangs and shimmery dress! Well, I can’t wait to tune into Fashion Police to hear them weigh in on all the stars. I have a feeling they’re going to go with Jessica Chastain for Best Dressed, but I’m still favoring Zoe Saldana. What was your favorite red carpet look?
