Hot Pants: Splurge or Steal

Every fit chick knows that yoga leggings are truly essential since you practically live in them.  Whether you’re a yogi, a Pilates girl, a runner, or a barre babe you probably wear leggings on a daily basis.  I probably have six pairs of black ones and black everyday gets pretty monotonous so I like to spice it up with some hot pants.  Several brands are embracing more bright colors and fun prints to liven up their collections which brings even more fun and whimsy to your workout.  Of course, some luxury leggings can run as high as $200 but I found these cute pair by Onzie for $44.  Do you wear hot pants for your workout?

Splits 59 Tennis Clothing Line

If you have been following my blog, you know I’m a fitness fanatic and a tennis nerd. There’s nothing better than when two things you love come together to create something wonderful. You can imagine my excitement when I learned one of my favorite luxury athletic clothing lines has debuted a collection for tennis! Introducing the Splits 59 tennis clothing line, Court Couture!  So far, there is only one tennis skirt but it’s super cute with a high thigh split.  I love the color scheme of buttercup yellow, turquoise, and white which is a fun and unexpected look for tennis.  All of the materials are moisture wicking so you can stay cool and calm on the court. They have featured some sexy crop leggings with flattering side panels and a sleek performance jacket that would look good on and off the court.  This line is just going to add to my current obsession of cute tennis clothes.  Just in time for the summer season :-)

What I’m Digging: Koral Activewear

Yes! I have another fitness clothing crush! It’s Koral activewear and I’m totally obsessed!  I stumbled upon this newly- launched, L.A.-based clothing line on Daily Candy and promptly went to the website to see more.  What I found was sexy workout clothes any fitchick would die to wear.  Some of my favorite finds are the turquoise open back tank, liquid leggings, and a jumpsuit.  Yes! A jumpsuit!  This line is cute, sexy, and tough all rolled into one.  Check it out!

Beyond Yoga: Electric Blue

I have been busy working on my Pilates certification which means more time in my athletic wear!  This week I’m featuring my favorite pair of Beyond Yoga leggings.  I was obviously drawn to the bright, electric blue color but also a little intimidated. I decided to try them on out of curiosity and also because I have nothing like these in my closet.  I was pleasantly surprise by how they fit.  Thanks to the luxe material the leggings have a flattering fit and they are oh, so soft!

Beyond Yoga

The black quilted block cami is another one of my favorites.  The texture is interesting and the fit is slimming.

What I Wore: Beyond Yoga Stripes

I’m back in fitness gear. Surprise. Surprise….I really think I buy more workout clothes than regular clothes at this point.  It’s easy to do when you have luxury athletic brands like Beyond Yoga creating such comfortable and chic pieces.  It’s hard to go back to regular street clothes once your skin gets used to the insanely soft fabrics used in their clothing.  Last week I featured a post on this beloved brand so this week I decided to showcase one of my head-to-toe Beyond Yoga looks.

Beyond Yoga

This cowl drape top is perfect to throw on after a workout to head to lunch or errands.  The best part is you can wear it two ways to create two totally different looks!

Beyond Yoga

I like to keep my body warm in between teaching my Bar classes and tops like this one are easy and comfortable to throw on.

Flexing some of my yoga muscles…lol!

What I’m Digging: Beyond Yoga

Beyond Yoga is hands down my new favorite luxury activewear brand.  I’m so thankful for my local Bar Method in Atlanta for carrying such great brands and introducing me to this one.  I have pretty much abandoned my old faithful, Lululemon, and haven’t looked back.  There are seven fashion forward ladies behind this U.S.A.-based label that boosts quality athletic clothing for all sizes and silhouettes.  Besides the fact that their clothes have extraordinary style, the fabrics are sooooo amazing!  I have one pullover that is absolutely so soft I wear it weekly.  I have several pairs of their leggings that have such a flattering fit and are comfortable and stylish enough to wear from day to night.  I have to admit I have gone out to dinner many times after my Bar workout (I promise I don’t smell).  I picked out a few of my faves from their website.  I love my silver open back sweater you see pictured below but I have my eye on that cobalt blue open back top ;-)

Super Hero

It’s so true that clothes can ignite feelings and provide you with a whole new attitude.  This outfit makes me feel like I can kick down walls like a super hero! Some of my reader expressed that they missed my outfit posts. I pretty much have been living in athletic wear lately so I haven’t done any photo shoots but I thought what the heck, my activewear is just as cute as the rest of the clothes in my closet. My favorite part about this look are the patch details on the shoulders, elbows, and knees. Almost like armor. I usually shy away from printed pants but these leggings by body rock were too cute to pass up :-)

Work it Out: My Top Brands for Work Out Gear

I am a work out fanatic.  This also means I’m a work out gear fanatic.  Growing up as a competitive gymnast and dancer I have been active all of my life.  I enjoy yoga, pilates, tennis, and my favorite exercise….Bar Method!  Ironically, I hate to run so tennis serves as my cardio.  I attend Bar Method 4-5 days a week and tennis 1-2 days a week so, I pretty much live in active wear.  Lately, I find myself buying more work out clothing than actual street wear attire.  Well, that’s what is so great about these three favorite brands of mine.  All of their clothes are so cute that you want to wear them every where.  It also keeps you motivated during your work outs so you can stay looking good in your yoga pants :-)

Lululemon work out gear
Lululemon is probably the most well known out of the three.  The Canada-based company recently received a lot of publicity due to the whole see-through pants issue, but that has thankfully been resolved.  I must admit I am somewhat of a Lulu addict.  I feel like they were one of the first companies to take active wear to that next level of looking good from the gym to the mall.  The clothing are expensive, but to me I get my money’s worth because I wear them so much and the high quality materials keep their shape over time.  It doesn’t hurt that their pants make your rear end look super good too!
Splits 59 work out gear
Splits 59 is a company I just learned about almost a year ago.  Their line is just as expensive as Lululemon (maybe even a little pricier).  It’s only sold online or in a specialty store like Bar method. I love how their clothes have a real edginess to them with a lot of cut-outs and sheer details.  Work out gear with sex appeal. I have the flair pants in the middle and LOVE them!  They’re like a girdle that just sucks you in at all the right places.
Karma work out gear
Karma is another Canadian company making soft, comfortable clothes.  This line is a little bit more affordable and is also sold in Nordstrom.  Their line has a more sophisticated and feminine vibe with asymmetric lines and ruffle details.  I have the mint T-shirt and wear it probably once a week.  I also have the blue jacket in black and have received numerous compliments on it.
I hope this gives you another reason to head to the gym or wherever you go to get your bootie tight!
Thanks for reading!
