This past Saturday I enjoyed another fun ladies’ night out. I wanted to be casual for drinks and a movie but still fun and vibrant. I pulled out this traditional Chinese silk shirt I purchased on my honeymoon in Singapore. We were winding through the maze of shops in Chinatown when I spotted these beautiful, silk shirts. It was a perfect souvenir which is why I’m a little surprised this is my first time wearing it since I bought it over a year ago.
I love how the cut of this shirt hugs the natural curves a woman. I felt instantly regal and feminine in my blouse.
I paired this outfit with some 23K gold earrings and bangle I purchased in Dubai (where we got engaged). More souvenirs I reserve for special occasions.
These Joe’s jeans are so comfortable and the very slight bootcut style is a very flattering shape. A dark wash is also my favorite because it’s also very slimming. I really wanted to wear a pair of gold heels, but I didn’t have any other than sandals. Fall has finally arrived in Atlanta and I didn’t want to have cold toes during the movie. I opted for these Guess leopard print heels I got years ago. I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I tend to use leopard print as a neutral. I think it works ok. What do you think?
I absolutely love accessorizing! I used to be a strictly silver and white gold girl. Then I ventured out into gold jewelry, mixed metals, and alas, rose gold jewelry! Now I love anything eye-catching and unique which is why wooden jewelry has recently caught my attention. I love the earthy texture and tribal vibe this trend has to offer. I especially love when the wood is mixed with a metal or semiprecious stone. You can go small with just a ring or make a grand gesture with a bold bib necklace. Either way, I highly recommend trying this trend to give your outfits a new and different look.
Welcome to my second edition of the Shoe Review. This week I’m featuring an old pair of shoes that I had pretty much forgotten about but decided to dust them off once I saw they were back in style. This is exactly why it’s so hard for me to get rid of stuff in my closet because it will undoubtedly come back in style and I would have wished I hadn’t gotten rid of it. Much to my chagrin, the pointy toe pump is back in style. I was really favoring the round toe, platform pump moment but I do like how the pointy toe shoe does elongate your legs. These Guess pumps are actually pretty comfortable. They do lack any type of cushion in the ball of the foot but the forefoot is actually pretty wide before it tapers at the toe. I still would not recommend this shoe for any great length of time but they are fine for a nice dinner (but skip the dancing).
