Yoga is one of those activities I don’t do very often, but when I do I wonder what took me so long to find may way back to it. This past weekend I attended a yoga block party in the parking lot of the Whole Foods Sandy Springs. Yes….I said parking lot. It seemed odd but it was actually really cool with a nice turn out. It was hosted by Becky Cawood, the owner of Veda Yoga studio, with several sponsors such as Orange Theory, Ice Box, Women’s Premier Fitness, Whole foods, and Pink Barre.
I promise I was practicing my yoga but over hundred people doing warrior two was too great of a picture to miss.
At the end of our practice, there were some amazing giveaways including free Lululemon yoga mats, and gift baskets with $50 Whole Foods card and a $150 Lululemon card!!!! Unfortunately, I was not a winner but congrats to those who received those fantastic prizes.
Despite the heat, it was a fun time. Thanks to my friend, Sher, for introducing me to Becky Cawood and this wonderful event. You can take a free Veda Yoga class at Lululemon Perimeter every Sunday at 10 am or follow on facebook for more information.
I was wearing…..
Top and bottom: Lululemon. Headband: Versona Accessories. Sneakers: Target.
I’m back in fitness gear. Surprise. Surprise….I really think I buy more workout clothes than regular clothes at this point. It’s easy to do when you have luxury athletic brands like Beyond Yoga creating such comfortable and chic pieces. It’s hard to go back to regular street clothes once your skin gets used to the insanely soft fabrics used in their clothing. Last week I featured a post on this beloved brand so this week I decided to showcase one of my head-to-toe Beyond Yoga looks.
This cowl drape top is perfect to throw on after a workout to head to lunch or errands. The best part is you can wear it two ways to create two totally different looks!
I like to keep my body warm in between teaching my Bar classes and tops like this one are easy and comfortable to throw on.
Flexing some of my yoga muscles…lol!
I was wearing…
Beyond Yoga: Striped side panel leggings, quilted block back cami, cowl drape top.
Stay tuned for some more upcoming fitness outfit posts. Thanks to Beyond Yogafor creating such fabulous gear!
I just love Scoutmob! I find the best deals on there and this past weekend was a great example. For only $30, some friends and I enjoyed a yoga session followed by a pool party and complimentary cocktail at the W Hotel Midtown. It was such a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The yoga instructor, from Tough Love Yoga, had an amazing, yet unconventional way of teaching yoga which made it even more interesting. Here was our view from the top.
They provided some cute swag including red or neon W hotel sunglasses, beauty products by Bliss, and lululemon giveaways. I was lucky enough to receive a lululemon gift bag with a pair of crop pants I had been longing for! #winning!!!
Then it was pool time….
Can you see the rainbow?
What do you do for summer fun?
Thanks for taking these pics with my phone Audrey Tarrant!
